The Art of Cooling 1: Cooler Hands

Hello friends!

My name is Alex, and I've always wanted to learn how to cool. I never learned how to cool as a kid, but it's been on my bucket list for so long that I said: "Well gosh darn it, I'm going to learn!" This blog will document my experience as an amateur cooler as I explore the Art of Cooling.

Cooling is one of those things that can come in handy in most any situation. Say you're stranded in the desert with no food or water, you've been wandering for days and you feel your life escaping you with each slow, ragged breath. The sun beats down on you relentlessly as you survey the bleached skulls littering the ground, which are soon to be your new social group. Sounds pretty bad right?

But just think! If you were acquainted with the Art of Cooling, you could totally make this situation better! Today I'll be trying out a simple method of cooling part of your body. Starting with the hands. My hands can get pretty clammy, especially when I've been lapping up coffee all summer like a wildcat. I found a recipe on the internet for how to cool them down. It comes in three simple steps.

Step 1: Find a bowl.
This may be easier or harder depending on if you have any bowls or not.

Step 2: Fill the bowl with ice.
There isn't a whole lot of ice in the desert, but there is in my kitchen!

Step 3: Stick your hand inside the bowl of ice.
Holy shit! Now that's cold!

I hope you had as much fun as I did!
